Living Room SourcesOur living room / great room is the most used space in the house. When designing the house, I knew I wanted the fireplace to be the main attraction. We did this by upgrading to a gas insert that's 74" wide. Don't let photos fool you... it's a huge statement piece. I picked a Carrera Plaster from Vasari (fossil) for the texture which extends from the ceiling to the floor with a single real wood beam breaking the face of the fireplace up while also adding much needed heat protection for the TV.

Kitchen SourcesOur kitchen is simple, slightly modern while also having a cozy appeal. When guests are over, we almost always sit in the kitchen. It's a fun space to chat and have guests and the family sitting comfortably while we cook and prep meals. It's an open concept with a massive staircase flanked by windows to one side while a walk-in pantry parallels the other. The kitchen hood vent has the same Carrera Plaster texture as the fireplace and the tile backsplash brings in even more of those warm tones and texture, balancing out the white cabinetry and quartz countertops.
